My dear friend Chuck I had hoped that, like Mark Twain, the rumors of your demise were greatly misquoted. A year has passed, however, and I haven't heard from you. It was election year, at that, so it must be true. We could have had some interesting conversations on the election this year. You wouldn't have believed the shenanigans that took place and I hope you were watching from above. If so, it appears that some heavenly guidance might be in order in the near future.
I'm sorry I missed your memorials, the first at the Library I heard about at last minute; and the second at Cedar Hill, I didn't hear about at all. But, I know in my heart that you know I was present in spirit. Since 1985, and through the many years of trials and tribulations and yes, successes, we went through at the Big House, as one of our deceased colleagues honorably referred to our workplace, we became good friends and excellent coworkers. Chuck, may you always walk in peace with the Lord.

Chuck,
I don't believe a day has gone by since your passing that I haven't said your name. You will always be in my heart and I miss you a great deal. My prayers are with you and your family.

Chuck: Even though we've been friends for over 40 years, I still can't accept a world without you. You will forever remain in my heart as the best friend I've ever had. Should you decide to reincarnate someday, please make me your first visit. Until then, with all my love, Jeanette
