To Liz and all of the family. Chris was the first colleague I met when I came to TVA in 1979. More than anyone else he trained me. When I first met him I remember being rather startled by the way he would ricochet around the room, brilliantly and rapidly moving from one idea to the next, always warm, always funny and gregarious. During Congressional recess he would bolt out of his office at the speed of light, red-faced, to read some quote from Shakespeare that he thought we had to know about immediately! I think what I remember most vividly about Chris was his love for his family. He spoke often of you and your kids, and we felt privileged to share in a small way his depth of feeling for you and your kids. We always felt that not just Chris, but his whole family, was one in a million.

I had lost track of Chris since I left TVA in 1994. He was a man I admired and respected and held in the highest regard. Although I've just read of his passing a year later, my thoughts and prayers are with the Eckl family. God bless. Jim Gray

Liz & Family,
When I think of my friend Chris, no matter the circumstances I have to laugh. On the serious side, he could always be relied on for his knowledge and ability to communicate TVA's position. I can see him now arguing his position with Paul Evans, Pete Stewart and Lee Sheppard in the here after. He'll be missed and remembered for his many contributions to this world. God be with you and your family.

Wray - I'Cloyd Beasley - lived on Spanish Oak Court about a block from your house on Nellie Ave. I saw Kit's obit in the Knoxville News-Sentinel. Of course I knew Kit better than you because I was nearer image to him. So very sorry that the is no longer here - would have enjoyed talking with him and reliving older times in Florence. Please convey my sympathies to the rest of his family.
You may remember Alfred Brann - relives in Atlanta and would be interested in this news. I'll pass icon to Philip Southall, as we are in touch.

Chris was really one in a million; so proud of his family, and really enjoyed his profession -- he was a real professiona. I've enjoyed being his Notre Dame, 1956 Classmate, and knew I could
always count on him for facts. He will be missed by so many Classmate/friends. JOHN MANION, ND56 CLASS SECRETARY
