CHRISTOPHER HICKEY Obituary
CHRISTOPHER CHILTON HICKEY
Of Bethesda, MD died suddenly on November 28, 2014 at the age of 45. He was a beloved husband to Pamela Cohen Hickey and loving father to his three daughters, Mackenzie, Kyra, Addison and dog Charley; he is also survived by his mother Mary Winslow and father Kieran Q. Hickey (Betty Anne); his brother Gregory W. Hickey (Alison) and their children Luke, Logan, Grant and Bree; In-laws Robert and Mary Cohen, brother-in-law Andrew Cohen (Teresa) and daughter Shelby, sister-in-law Jennifer Cohen Henley (Billy) and their children Mary and Emily. He also has three step-siblings Hyatt Choate (Lani), Terrill Byard, and Tim Choate (Elizabeth) and nine additional nieces and nephews. Christopher is a 1991 graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He had a very successful sales career and was currently Vice President of North American Sales at GXS, an OpenText Company. His trademark blue eyes, boundless energy and signature smile warmed all of those around him. Chris loved his ski vacations with his family. He also enjoyed time on the golf course and hockey rink, but was always his happiest spending time with his beautiful girls. Family and friends will be received at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 1513 Dunster's Road, Rockville, MD 20854 on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 4 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven in Silver Spring, MD immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org.

An absolute tragedy to see a father, husband and son pass so young and so sudden. I had the brief pleasure to get to know Chris through business and have only blessings towards him and his family; he was a joy to personally be around. One could tell from the sincerity with which he spoke about his loved ones that he was decent and caring person, whom will always be fondly remembered.

Pam, our prayers go out to you and the girls and all of the family. For me, I will always remember Chris for how he made me smile. In fact, I can't ever remember a time when he didn't say something funny to make me smile. He was also always there if I needed help because we share the same profession, including a time last year whe he met with me to talk about career changes.
