When I would go to any DC or Maryland blues event, there would Chris be with the table of DC blues stuff to sell. He was a dedicated, knowledgeable and fun person. He will be sorely missed.

No doubt Chris was probably the most dedicated blues supporter in the area and he will be sorely missed by the D.C. and Baltimore blues communities. It won't be the same without seeing him manning the tent or table at festivals and events.

I was very privileged to have known Chris. He was so supportive to so many musicians and always willing to help the blues societies. He knew the business side of things could be tough but he always remained optimistic. The blues was his life. He just loved the music and the people who shared that love - musicians and fans alike.
We spoke several times after his illness was discovered and he always would tell me how his family and friends were taking good care of him but how he did not want to burden anyone. I hope some us can pull it together to record a few tunes in honor of your memory and friendship. It has been said that out lifetime on earth is but a blink of an eye in heaven.
See ya soon.

It is sad to lose someone dear to us, especially someone like Chris who quietly gave so much to so many … but there is comfort in remembering the times he made us laugh, his thoughtfulness and unselfishness … and the times he made a positive difference in our lives. Through his love of the blues, Chris enriched the lives of many people and contributed immeasurably to the local blues societies. He had many friends and will be greatly missed.
The past few weeks, I’ve been trying to come up with a way to honor his memory ….. then it occurred to me ….. the most exemplary thing that we can do to keep Chris in our hearts is to “leave your ego home, play the music and love the people.”

My condolences go to Chris's family and friends. I called WPFW last Saturday to share the sad news and the DJ Da' Gator sent his love to your family with deep, heartfelt passion.
Chris was manning a Blues Society table at almost every music event that I attended. We used to commiserate about investments, music, anything. His dedication to keeping the blues alive was unfailing. Great musicians showed their appreciation of Chris's devotion to the blues, attending and performing at his benefits. Just weeks before he passed away, I saw Chris at the Wilmington Music Festival helping a friend, Magic Slim, and celebrating Magic's b-day. I'm so glad I got a hug from Chris that day.
Knowing that Chris had a life full of friends, family, travel, and great music should help us know that he's having a great time right now. See ya there, Chris!

"This is what you shall do: love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hot to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful, uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the greatest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of yours eyes and in every motion and joint of your body...." My condolences to the family and all his friends. He was too young to die. I met Chris at Chantal and Keats's wedding and though I never spent much time with him, I felt like I knew him because of talking with Chantal and Keats. The entire Worzala family is greatly saddened by his death and pray for hiw family and friends during this very difficult time.
