I consider Skip one of my dearest friends and he helped me out in so many ways from our days at Century Pools to Chesapeake Pools to helping me buy his (and Colleen's) townhome to whatever I needed. If you knew Skip, you knew he would do just about anything for anyone and was always there. Skip was not shy about saying what was on his mind and was one of the funniest people I have ever met. We would talk every couple of months and miss dearly being able to call him up to talk about anything and everything. RIP

Skip was a crucial influence on my career. in 1995, when I was 24 and bit lost, he offered me an opportunity to work under his direct supervision. We spent the next 4 years sharing an office, and I learned to be an adult with his guidance. He led by example, with a tireless work ethic buoyed by his indefatigable sense of humor. We started early and stayed late, and we enjoyed our work together.
I can still hear his laugh in my head, and his instantly emphatic denial of any time off request I might make - "No! Broga why do even ask me that?" (I quickly learned that his gruff exterior was a bluff ) In our Kensington office we would routinely order gigantic steak sandwiches for lunch from a greasy local deli, sweating to try and finish them, and laugh at the time that they were giving him "heart palpitations." I think he would still laugh thinking of that even now.
Skip was a primer colored Ramcharger, a Franklin Planner fit to burst, an improvisor, an adapter, an overcomer. Above all however, Skip was a kind teacher to me. He took a chance on me. He mentored me at a critical inflection point in my life, and it is Skip's friendship and leadership that set the trajectory of my life into pools. I am better for it.
He took great care of me, and my family owes him for that. I wish now I could call him up to really thank him.

Skip loved kids, and I will forever be grateful for his love and passion for my children! Skip had such a wonderful way of expressing his love to his friends and family. I have so many memories from my childhood that involved Skip. One of my favorite memories was hearing his parents call him "Skipper" after they generously invited us to watch the Air Show. I remember laughing and thinking it was the best nickname! My second favorite memory is Skip holding my son when he was a newborn baby! Seeing the love in his eyes, and the fullness in his heart was touching.
We were also lucky enough to have Skip show my mother in law the tips and tricks of Bee Keeping! One of her life long dreams! We were so lucky to have him in our lives!
He will be more than missed. Anyone who knew Skip, and shared memories with or of him, were absolutely blessed. I feel so lucky to know how much he loved me and my family. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time.
Lots of Love,

I remember the entire family moving to Maryland, joining St. Ignatius parish. Warm, friendly, outgoing. Skip was a year ahead of me in school, I was in Mike's class. David was in my brother's class. Skip called me maybe 3 years ago explaining he was in my area (Southern Delaware). He was very close (just 1 town over) so he dropped by, also met my son. We had a great time catching up !
