Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Pastor of Craig Memorial Community Church for 18 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda; two sons, Claude Jr., and Craig; three grandchildren; three sisters; nephews; nieces and a host of relatives and friends. So very sorry to hear of Claude Swanson´s passing! For some reason, he came to mind today and in researching, I came to his obituary!
Claude hired me as his Women´s Coordinator in the Office of Civil Rights in 1979! My maiden name was Swanson and we always wondered if we were related!
He was such a kind and gentle man and it was truly a pleasure to work with him! It´s a blessing to know that he is in the arms of the father and suffers no more! Sharon McSwain

Claude Swanson was a good friend who made it possible for me to become an employee at The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority in 1976. I'll always remember his kindness and true frienship. I was surprised and sorry to learn of his passing. May Claude find ultimate peace in the hands of God.

Claude and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I remember when I first started at METRO and he was the Director of Civil Rights. He was so kind to me and always treated me with respect. I know losing a love one is never easy...but know he is resting in the arms of his heavenly father. I am praying for you and your family for God's strength during this time of bereavement.
