Corinne and I have been friends for 40 years. My first impression of her Dad was of a kind and caring individual who had the gift of putting others at ease. As the years went on, I enjoyed getting to know Mr. and Mrs. Smith better and especially enjoyed the stories Mr. Smith would tell. He was a wonderful person and will be missed dearly! Patty, Corinne, and Russ take comfort in the wonderful memories you have of your Dad. He is gone, but not forgotten!

I have known Corinne and her family for over 35 years. I remember her Dad as being very quiet, thoughtful, and funny. It was nice to learn of all his accomplishments, many I was not aware of. Corinne, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time, but take comfort in the many wonderful memories as you celebrate his life.

Dear family of CR Smith:
CR was a nice and intelligent human being. He was an original who came from Capital Airlines to United Airlines. He was instrumental along with others who made United Air Lines the "greatest airline" from the 60's through the 80's. I was fortunate to have known him at Friendship Airport in Baltimore which later became BWI. He was well liked and respected by those who worked for him and with him. When you saw him at work, he always had a smile and a wave or hello. My sincere sympathies to his family and friends. He is gone but affectionately not forgotten.

C.R. exhibited great patience and kindness and I know that to be true because he had some of the most diverse and interesting employees working for him all at one time and at one place that I ever encountered. His loyalty and humor in all his work and social activities was appreciated and he had an especially warm place in his heart for all us fellow veterans.
