CONSUELO A. JOCSON
Consuelo "Chel" A. Jocson, 85, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home in Alexandria, VA. Chel is survived by her daughter Malu Jocson (Deane Jordan), her sisters, Finita, Fanny, Mariflor (Francis) Ocran, Maribel (Dave) Flewitt, and brothers Bert (pre-deceased) (Cora), Nic and Chino, and many nieces and nephews. Chel enjoyed a long and distinguished career, first with the United Nations, and then with the World Bank, serving in both the Washington, DC and Afghanistan offices. Chel's life revolved around family and close friends whom she loved and embraced so dearly. She especially doted on her nieces and nephews whom she closely guided and counseled. Her wit and humor were legendary, as was her love for tennis. Chel will be sorely missed, but always in our hearts. A Funeral Mass will be held at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church located at 4329 Sano St. Alexandria, VA 22312 on June 1, 2021 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Miriam's Kitchen or your local food bank.
