I am deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Curtis. We serve together in the South Korea and I will never forget his leadership and military bearing. I know that it was not an easy time in his life, having served in Vietnam prior to his tour in South Korea. I always wanted Curtis to know that I was his friend. I regret not being there to talk with him prior to his passing and for not attending his funeral service. I recall talking to him many times about being a paratrooper. When I learned that he had attended jump school and had served in the 82nd Airborne Division, I was so pleased. I learned when I talked to him on the telephone years after he retired, that I had served in the 5th Special Forces at Fort Bragg at the same time he was in the division. I would have given anything to have had the opportunity to talk with him. Curtis, may you continue to serve God and my prayers are with your family.
