CURTIS HORTON Obituary
CURTIS EUGENE HORTON
Passed away on Sunday July 24, 2016. He leaves his loving family to cherish his memory, his mother, Mrs. Juanita Horton; two sons, Derek and Cameron; three grandsons, Matthew, Aiden and Chase; one sister, Karen (Milton); four brothers, Alfred (Jean), Jeffrey, Wayne and Keith; sister-in-law, Greta Lynn; close loving aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, loving extended Berry family, long-time close friend, Rodney Monroe; many friends and acquaintances. Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, 7474 Landover Road, Hyattsville, MD 20785. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m.

I send light, love, joy, and peace to the Horton family. Curtis was so loving and caring toward our grandsons, Matthew, Aiden, and Chase. They loved him so much. He left with them wonderful memories that they can always reflect on. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spiritual presence will be with us forever and we are thankful for that. My prayer is that God will bless the Horton family with the strength and encouragement that is needed as you continue through this journey we call life. Peace Be Unto Thee. God loves you and so do I.

I've lost a true and dear friend, a man I considered a brother! A man of simple means who did things his way. Although he could appear mean and irony at times, it was to protect his warm interior. Marvette and I cherished our relationship so much, we had even spoken about him moving to Charlotte with us. He had his room all picked out.
We'll miss you my friend, but will think of you every time we enter your room.
