WITHERS CYNTHIA YVONNE WITHERS Departed this life on June 15, 2009. Beloved daughter of Vivian A. Morris and mother of D. Ashley Carr; mother-in-law of Aubrey F. Carr. Born in Lynchburg, VA, she resided in Washington, DC and Silver Spring, MD for many years and was a longtime staff member of the AAMC. She is survived by loving family members and many friends who will long cherish her memory. Visitation Saturday, June 20 at 1 p.m., service 2 p.m. at MARSHALL''S FUNERAL HOME, 4217 9th St. NW, Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to S.O.M.E. or House of Ruth. Interment private.

The things we did together, the wonderful memories, the advise, she was a strong wonderful women, who was there for me in my lowest moments in life. She will always be a gift to me in this life. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Whenever I would hear from Cynthia she would always start the conversation with "Myrick, Withers here" She was the only person I didn't mind calling me by my last name. Already my heart is filled with fond memories. I will miss her dearly.
