Dale Morehouse Obituary


DALE L. MOREHOUSE  
Dale Leroy Morehouse, 48, of Vienna, Virginia, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up in Springfield, Virginia and Waycross, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Merle Morehouse. He is survived by a brother, Dean Morehouse; two sisters, Martha Ratcliffe and husband, Stan of Haymarket and Nancy Morehouse of Blacksburg. He is also leaving behind seven nieces and nephews: Andrew Ratcliffe, Kelly Hall, Katie and Alex Ratcliffe; Jeffrey and Luke Harman; and Sara Morehouse, as well as, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He attended Troy State University and worked in construction contracting. Dale was deeply adored by his family and friends. He loved all people and animals. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and his gregarious nature touched many lives. Dale's family is hosting a Celebration of his life on Tuesday, December 20 at Grevey's Restaurant, 8130 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church, VA. Friends may visit beginning at 6 p.m. with a memorial service at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to www.azaleacharities.org or www.bigheartbrigade.com or www.specialolympicsva.org

Dale was a Great person with a Big Heart who gave so much of himself to others. I sure God will take care of him now. I can close my eyes and see his Great smile. My heart goes out to his family and especially his brother and his brother daughther who he often talk about so highly and loved both of them so much as well as his beloved sisters and parents. His family was one the most important part of his life and often talk about the good memeories with them.And his great love for his Mom. I feel bless to have known him, I learned alot from him. And he will be Greatly missed. Cathy

My heartfelt condolences to Dale's family at this most difficult time. Dale was a good friend as well as a dedicated employee for years and was one of the most unique people i have ever met!
I can say that he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone he met and always had an upbeat and positive attitude towards anybody or anything he encountered...... he will be greatly missed!
