DANIEL LASSER Obituary


DANIEL JOSEPH LASSER
Major Daniel Joseph Lasser passed away on February 11, 2012. Major Lasser was born in 1928 in New York City, the only child of David Lasser and Florence Glassberg. He grew up in Washington, DC and graduated from Western High School. During the Korean War he was an Air Force navigator. He then trained and became a pilot. After retiring from the Air Force, he remained in the reserves for twenty years. During that time, he was promoted to the rank of Major. He finished his career by working for Lockheed Martin before retiring. He married only once, to Lois Ann Elgin on April 22, 1953. The Lassers resided in Japan for two years shortly after their marriage, and then resided in California for a number of years. In 1973, the Lassers moved to Rockville, Maryland. Major Lasser was preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2010. They had no children. He will be Inurned next to her at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., with Full Military Honors. Friends are to gather at the administration building 2:30 p.m. prior to services.
