Daniel Geoffrey Rosen

Passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, unexpectedly. Daniel was preceded in death by his father Alvin Rosen. Daniel is survived by his mother Carol, his wife Nikki, his two adoring sons, August and Milton, his brother David (Sara), and nieces Julia and Emma. Through marriage, Daniel leaves behind sisters Robin (Eric) and Julianna Milton, along with niece Ava and nephew Caden, and in-laws Douglas and Linda Milton. He also leaves behind the matriarch of his family, Helene Schwalberg, and a host of cousins, the Schwalbergs, Jordans and Barfields, with whom he shared many fond childhood memories. Daniel was a native Washingtonian and grew up in Bowie, MD, attending Bowie High School, St. Mary's College of MD, and Prince George's Community College. Daniel loved summers in Ocean City, MD and Pass Christian, MS, spending time close to the water whenever possible. Daniel went on to work for Walter Reed Army Medical Center for two decades as a research assistant. He found his clinical research work to be some of his most rewarding. Despite his quiet demeanor, Dan accumulated a loud and loyal fan base in life. He was an unforgettable character to everyone who knew him, a fan of vintage t-shirts, rock music, and irreverent humor. Daniel loved being a father to his boys, always sporting his favorite "Dad" t-shirts, and they are better for his time with them. A memorial service will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 Univ. Blvd, W., Silver Spring, MD 20901, on September 20, 2025 with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., service to follow at 11 a.m. Contributions in Daniel's memory can be made to Comfort Cases- https://giving.classy.org/campaign/708832/donate.
