Of St. Augustine, FL, died November 9, 2003 at his home. He was a native of Fostoria, OH and had resided in St. Augustine for the past 23 years. He worked as a cartographer for the Naval Defense Mapping division and also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and with the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 126 in Maryland and the VFW Post No. 2391 in St. Augustine. He also had been active for many years with the St. Augustine South Community Association. He is survived by his daughters, Joanne Ballard and Jeanne Burton, both of St. Augustine; sons, Daniel, Tucson, AZ, Stephen, Maryland and Kenneth, Palm Coast, FL; two brothers, Richard and Charles, both of Fostoria, OH; six grand- children and 12 great-grandchildren. Interment, Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 7 at 11 a.m.
