Darrell Dean Goff Sr.

1941 - 2024

Darrell Dean Goff, Sr. of Falls Church, Virginia peacefully passed away April 19, 2024 in the loving home and care of his daughter. Darrell was born June 19, 1941 to Woodrow and Emma Goff in Fayetteville, WV. He grew up in Oak Hill, and graduated from Collins High School in 1960.
Darrell enjoyed a long career as a food broker for Polaner and B&G Foods. After officially retiring, he independently represented numerous brands in the DOD commissaries in the mid-Atlantic area. He was well-known in the local industry and had many lifelong friends through his work. He was known for his easy smile, genial demeanor, and quick wit. He enjoyed greeting old and new friends with a souvenir of a personalized pen and pocket calendar. Darrell never met a stranger!
He enjoyed many years of coaching and umpiring his son in Falls Church youth leagues throughout the 70's and 80's. He was known affectionately as "DadDad" to his grandchildren. He played golf for many years with his best buddies, which continued into this last year. He maintained his strong will and humor throughout his illness.
Darrell was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Patricia Mae McCrea Goff, whom he dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter Theresa (Jeff) Davis; son Darrell "Dean" (Kathy) Goff, Jr.; grandsons Joshua Davis and Logan Goff, granddaughters Caitlin Davis and Madison Goff; brother Gary Goff, Sr.; and nephew Gary Goff, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC. For 60 years, he had been embraced by his wife's family including Billy (Diane) McCrea of Littlestown, PA, Judy (Eric) Dittrich of Manassas, VA, Timmy (Donna) McCrea of Berkley Springs, WV; three nephews and a niece. He is also survived by the many lovely friends, associates, neighbors, and golf buddies who will miss him.
The viewing will be held at National Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA, on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 3 to 7 p.m. and the funeral service is Friday, April 26, 2024 at 12 noon, followed by interment.
