GOOD DAVID L. GOOD March 28, 1930 - May 28, 2021 David L. Good of Bethesda, MD and Raymond, ME, cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, died peacefully in his sleep at his Bethesda home. Born and raised in Wheeling, WV as one of five children of Sidney and Jeannette Good, David is survived by his devoted wife of almost 28 years, Jane Weiman Good, a son, John (Stephanie) Good and four step-children, David H. (Linda Schupack) Good, Pamela (Marc) Thiessen, Robert (Cara) Weiman and Jill (Kevin) Kowitz. He is also survived by four grandchildren, triplets Jonah, Nathan and Aaron Good plus their sister, Maren Good, as well as eleven step-grandchildren including Matthew and Jamie Brunstad, Max, Jack, twins Lucy and Eva Thiessen, Sylvie, Lena and Theo Weiman, Jake and Sophie Kowitz. David was a University School, Cleveland, Ohio graduate (1948) and received an A.B. degree from Brown University (1952), an L.L.B. degree from the University of Virginia Law School (1955) and an L.L.M. (Taxation) degree from Georgetown University Law School (1961). David served in the Munich Field Office, 66th Counter Intelligence Corps Group, U.S. Army, from 1956-1957. In recent years, he was active in the ACICV (Army Counter Intelligence Corps Veterans). David worked in the Tax Ruling Division of the Internal Revenue Service from 1959 to October, 1974 for two years as a Tax Law Specialist in the Exempt Organization Branch and the remainder in the Reorganization Branch. After 1974 and for the following more than 40 years, David was a partner in several general practice law firms until his retirement. David passionately pursued his many interests outside of the law. He particularly enjoyed photography, gourmet cooking, heart-healthy eating, red wines, bicycling, history (the Civil War and World War II), art, music, canoeing (the Allagash), hiking in the Maine woods, mountain climbing (Katahdin), Monarch butterflies, wild flowers (Lady Slippers), and exotic travel when even in his very senior years, David and Jane went on a 19 day expedition cruise to Antarctica, on another expedition cruise to the Arctic and twice to South Africa. A kind, gentle, tolerant, considerate, trustworthy, loyal man with a hearty laugh and wry sense of humor who embraced life and was able to pun almost until his last breath, David will be remembered with great fondness by all who were fortunate enough to know him. A memorial service has been scheduled at Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington, D.C. for Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David L.
