DAVID H. GWYNN, Esq. (Age 82)  
Of Upper Marlboro, MD on Thursday May 8, 2014 at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC. Born in Washington, DC, he was a son of the late Thomas S. and Avis (Middleton) Gwynn. He was married to Lucille (Wyvill) Gwynn. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in April 2014. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a graduate of the Charlotte Hall Military Academy, Western Maryland College with a B.A. in History and Georgetown University Law School where he obtained his law degree. He maintained a private law practice in Upper Marlboro, MD for over 50 years. He was also a Director for the Prince George's Federal Savings Bank for over 49 years and a member of the Upper Marlboro Lions Club for over 50 years. He enjoyed reading history, fishing, crabbing, playing cards and raising Black Angus cattle. He is survived by his wife, Lucille; four children, David Harold Gwynn Jr. (Mary), Avis Gwynn Turner (Andrew), Charles Wyvill Gwynn and Ann Gwynn Wittenauer (Jerry); seven grandchildren, Ryan (Whitney), Dominic, Emily, Madeline, John David, Elena and Michael; a sister, Christina Evald, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Lee Funeral Home, Inc. 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton, MD on Monday, May 12 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 14908 Main St., Upper Marlboro, MD on Tuesday, May 13 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Upper Marlboro Lions Club or St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
