David was such a delight as a jazz enthusiast and art collector. The Pogue home that I remember was beautiful and filled with creativity.

I have belatedly learned of David's passing. What a kind and dear man. His love of music and art and his beloved Terry was inspirational. Every New Year's Eve I play the cassettes he once mixed and gave guests from a NYE party they hosted. That was long ago. My deepest condolences on the loss of a wonderful spirit.

It is no surprise that so many people have such fond memories of Dave. He was indeed a sweet and kind man who possessed impeccable taste in everything he did and in every aspect of his behavior toward others. He was my friend through our mutual interest in audio and in jazz, and I will miss him very much. Terry, please accept my condolences. Thank you for your unfailing hospitality during my several visits to your home.

David was an evolutionary audiophile and avid listener as he was always trying to adjust his sound. But his music room was also one of art. Paintings and sculpture but also imbedded was his sculptural mix of tube and silicon electronics, staged architectural speakers, and strategically placed sound absorbers and vibration isolators.
Tens of modern and period audio components, all lit up, both sight and sound on display. He collected and reproduced lifelike sound of jazz, blues, and classical music from his large collection of vinyl, tape, and SACDs and enjoyed comparing same date performances as recorded on different media.
David connected, wired, and maintained all audio components himself and was an inspiration to us lesser audiophiles.

I´m at a loss for words at the loss of an amazing man who gave me the confidence and permission to express myself through written and spoken word. Dave and Terry were, quite literally, the parents I never had. When my own family had written me off to a life not worthy of my PhD father and Sorbonne-educated Mother, Dave provided a safe place to find myself professionally as a writer and a strategist. Not a day went by where I was not immensely grateful for the opportunities and support that both Dave and Terry gave to me. When I enjoy and marvel at music and art and flora and fauna and living a beautiful life, I know who to thank for embodying their own abiding love of life. Peace to you both, Dave & Terry.

I´m at a loss for words for the wonderful, quiet, brilliant man who gave me permission to express myself through words and to excel despite no degree or expectations from anyone that I would ever succeed in any form of life. Dave was truly from another time and place. His love of music and art and his magnificent vision of a wife whose own talents were limitless were so incredibly loved and respected by me as a young woman of 21 and today at 57. Words have always been my life. My life will always be enriched because of Dave and Terri and I will be forever enthralled of their genuine wonder and grasp of this phenomenon called life.
