The Interment for David H Rand will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at 3 p.m. on November 15, 2023.



David H Rand passed away on September 25, 2021 at the Avalon House in McLean, VA. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on December 16, 1937, he was the son of the late Kenneth D Rand and Doris May (Hathaway) Rand. David was a parishioner at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, VA.



David worked for the Federal government for 20 years and retired from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In 1996, he retired after 40 years with rank of Colonel from the Washington, DC Air National Guard at Andrews Air Force Base. After retirement, he found his third career working in real estate until 2010.



To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife, the love of his life, Glenna C Boyd, of Springfield, VA, his daughters Alison LeBrasseur of Hampden, MA, and Diana Rand of Enfield, CT; his son David K Rand (Donna) of Crofton, MD; his stepdaughter, Kristen Perkins (David) of Park City, UT; his grandchildren Alexis, Jake, Aden, Ava, and Ali. He was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Stacey Wahlert; brother Kenneth D Rand; and his sisters, Linda Rand and Barbara Spinney.



Of his many hobbies, golf was his greatest passion. He also enjoyed spending time with his children as well as traveling with his wife.
