When I first arrived as a temp working on All Things Considered many years ago David was there. I of course had a million questions and David was so kind and patient in answering all of them. When I think of David the saying 'still waters run deep' comes to mind. I feel privileged to have known David and to have worked with him. I hope I remembered to say thank you...David.

David, You were always modest and kind as a colleague at NPR. I will always remember your gentle smile, good humor and your radio voice.

David, you were a good colleague. We'll always have Manchester NH - running in the snow, to remember.
