Della Maher Obituary
Her greatest joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph, and is survived by her five daughters Catherine Kahn (Ralph), Barbara Van Deusen (Michael), Dianne Conte (John), Eileen Donahue (Michael), and Sharon Lang (Christopher); 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Born in Louisville, KY, son of the late Garnet and Marguerite (Schunicht) Strubel, sister of David (dec), she graduated from Spalding College in Louisville, KY.
A longtime resident of Montgomery County, Della (and husband Joe) raised their five daughters here, welcoming and enriching their lives with a wide circle of friends and neighbors. Della's warm hospitality extended to her church community at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was an active member for many years.
She will be remembered by all for her selflessness, generosity, kindness and unconditional love. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
