Diane Micker Obituary

Diane Micker, 78 of Arlington VA, passed away unexpectantly on March 29, 2025 following a rather quick decline in her health. She grew up in Washington, DC and attended Western High School. She was a long-time resident in Arlington, VA. She was passionate about birds and bears, nature, collecting seashells, history, travelling with her sisters and friends but mostly her faith. Before retirement she had worked at American Physical Therapy Association and many years at the Red Cross in the Arlington chapter. She is survived by her two loving sisters, Rita Hudson and Pat Magin (George) and she doted on her three loving nieces, Stephanie Sarmiento (Matthew), Michelle Crawford (Lucas), and Julia Purdy (Michael) and forever loved their children. Private interment for the family will be held later in the year at her favorite second home Bethany Beach where she spent many childhood summers.

I knew Diane from Truro Episcopal Church and also worked with her at APTA. Diane was a devout and generous person. Shortly after meeting her she helped finance a mission trip I was going on to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. That was such a selfless act and showed where her values lay. May she be in complete happiness and glory with her Lord!
