DIRK CORNELIUS McKAN March 23, 1952 - July 14, 2022
Dirk Cornelius McKan was born on March 23,1952, in Washington, D.C. to the late Almentia Williams McKan and Nathaniel Nicholas McKan. He left to be with the angels on July 14, 2022. After 25 plus years with the AT&T Telecommunications, Dirk retired as a Senior Systems Analyst. Dirk married the late Francine Perry McKan in 1980 and was blessed with a son, Christopher D. McKan. He leaves a rich legacy of love to cherish his memory: son, Christopher D. McKan; grandsons, Christopher D. McKan, Jr. and Shia Carter Pete; sister, LaVerne M. Tucker (Lawrence B., Jr.); sisters-in-law, Wanda "Trudy" Robinson (Terry) and Pamela Bates (Larry, deceased); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation Monday, August 8, 2022, 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. funeral service at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, 7474 Landover Rd., Hyattsville, MD.

My wonderful neighbor & friend on Congress St., S.E. Admired & distinguished. Terrific"big brother" to his sister LaVerne who was my best friend. I'll always remember Dirk for his great smile. My condolences to his family.
