Departed this life on Friday, July 21, 2006 at the Brook Grove Nursing Home, Olney, MD. Born August 23, 1925 in Richmond, VA to the late George R. Shelton and Martha M. Williams. She was the last of seven children. Her husband of 18 years, Roger S. Williams, died on September 23, 1978. She is survived by two daughters Martha M. Adams and Barbara A. Williams; one son-in-law, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, seven stepchildren, stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, family and friends. Beside her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her son Charles Smith; her daughter Gloria J. Williams, six brothers and sisters, a host of grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Family will receive friends at the Covenant Life Church, 7501 Muncaster Mill Rd, Gaithersburg, MD on Thursday, July 27, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment Lincoln Park Cemetery.
