DONALD G. EIRICH  Lt. Col., USMC (Ret.)  
Of McLean, VA, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Beloved husband of Elizabeth McGarraghy Eirich; devoted father of Ann Eirich Didden (Damian) of New York City, Christian Eirich (Rebecca) of Moraga, CA and Matthew Eirich of Washington, DC. He was Pop-Pop to his precious grandchildren, Clare and Caroline Didden, Charlotte and Thomas Eirich. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the De Vol Funeral Home, 2222 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC (parking behind 2233 Wisconsin Ave). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Western Ave. at Quesada St., NW, Washington, DC. Interment [with Full Military Honors] will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Yellow Ribbon Fund, 4905 Del Rey Ave, Suite 500, Bethesda, MD 20814 (www.yellowribbonfund.org).
