God speed,
Cindy and I have many memories of Don at Woodside UMC. He was one of the best Ushers. Both Lindsay and Chris loved him very much.
Don and I were on a Committee and I apposed an idea he was presenting. After the meeting, Don came over to me and said "it's a good thing I like your Son or I would be mad with you".
Peace be with you,
Art and Cindy

Mrs. Stewart,
Mr. Stewart was a remarkable man. I appreciate you letting me know of his passing. He was a very witty, funny, intelligent and humble man. I truly enjoyed our lunch together and I am so grateful to have had the pleasure to be of service to him and most all I am indebted to him for his kind words.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mr. Stewart was one of kind and he is surely watching over you-just as you watched over him during the most courageous battle of his life. He is surely waiting for that time when once again he will be re-united with the LOVE of his Life.-but not yet.
May the strength of the lord be ever present in your life during this most difficult time.
Respectfully,
Martin Yescas and Family.

Jean, Troy and I were very sad to hear of Don's passing. Don was so great to include Troy into the ushering at Woodside when we were attending. We both have great memories of Don.

Dear Jean & Jan,
Our love and thoughts are with you. We have so many, many fond & fun memories of Don...I smile every time I think of him. It's hard to believe he is really gone. Talented, funny, sharing, kind, always there when needed. We remember all the work he & Rod did on our house in Silver Spring (and the T-shirts they actually had made with the "slogan" I dreamed up). And, of course, Jan was Joel's first date and Don was even happy about that. Gosh, we really do go far back, don't we? We hold you in our hearts and prayers. We are saddened but we know Don is in His Kingdom and the Lord is happy...and He's brushing up on all his jokes. Sorry we have been so far away. We miss you. Joel is in Ft. Worth,Texas now and he sends his hugs, prayers and love, too. Wish we could be there with you now, but, sadly, we cannot be in person, but we are in Spirit. With Tears of Love... Mary & Moffette

Jean,
Cindy and I, plus Lindsay and Chris are sad to have heard of Don's passing. His struggle with cancer has been a long one but victory is now Don's for he is at peace and rest with Jesus our Lord and God. So many good memories at Woodside UMC. Our fellowship is the lessor from this loss, but his spiritual presence provides us strength to move on. He lives on in our memories.
Thanks be to God from whom all blessings flow.
Godspeed to the Stewart family. Amen and Amen!

He was such a fighter, with such a gentle spirit. We are so sorry for your loss. But Heaven has gained an exceptional angel!
Eric has fond memories of golfing at Apple Valley Golf Course with Uncle Donnie when he was younger.

When my wife and I were newlyweds, Don and his wife Jean were there to welcome us lnto the neighborhood. Since this was our first house, Don also provided guidance on how to do things around the house. We have been friends for 47 years now. We certainly will miss Don and his witty character.
