I´m so sorry for the passing of this wonderful man. My heart goes out to this incredible family. Don and Erdine raised a kind and brilliant group of six kids!
I remember when the family moved out to Virginia from California. I was in the third grade at the time. Don Walter went on an overnight trip with the class to Prince William Forest Park in Virginia as a chaperone. I distinctly remember him teaching us how to determine the height of a tree using triangulation, which was a pretty advanced topic for a third grader! He will be missed by so many.
