DORIS MCPHERSON Obituary
DORIS JEAN McPHERSON
On Saturday, May 27, 2017. Beloved mother of Dr. Marilyn McPherson Corder and the late Carolyn McPherson Scott; grandmother of Angela J. Scott, Waymon A. Scott IV, Adrienne L. Corder, Frederick T. Corder II and William "Alex" T. Scott and great-grandmother of Maya Carolyn Scott. She is also survived by two sons-in-law, Dr. Frederick J. Corder and Wayman A. Scott III; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. McPherson will lie in state at Shiloh Baptist Church, 8801 Adwick Ardmore Rd., Landover, MD. on Friday, June 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Doris J. McPherson Seniors Ministry of Shiloh Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made to:

Dear Marilyn, Fred, Adrienne and Frederick,
I am so sorry for your loss. A great memory are those times she would come into the office and attempt to tell you what to do. All the while getting info of where and when to get the kids. I know she was a super mom and grandma. She will be missed.

Marilynn and Family, what a time of incredible sadness. Even with that huge hole in your heart, please know that God heals the brokenhearted. We are family. I was blessed have spent precious time with your Mother, and I was blessed by the experience. You are a reflection of her in the way you treat others with loving care, respect and empathy. Not to mention the way you make each person feel loved. It must be difficult to part with someone so beautiful, but I believe strongly that her spirit lives on in you. I am so sorry for your loss.
