Very sad to hear today of Doug's death in May. Like many others, our family relied on Doug for courteous, friendly, timely transportation. He was a real sweet guy. I went with him to his first Nationals game a few years ago and he really enjoyed it. But mainly I saw him every few months for a trip to and from Dulles, and he was an unfailingly cheerful presence. Sincere condolences to his family. Great guy.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Doug's passing. We have known him for over 30 years. He provided his driving skills for many members of our family. We were last with him in early May. Doug was a special person with such a kind heart. He was always so positive and cheerful. We enjoyed talking about the places we had been to, about the different area sports teams and of course his dog.. We will always remember how excited he was when we arranged for him to drive Leonard Nimoy to an event we were chairing. We will miss him. May his memory be for a blessing, Rita, Chet, Amanda & Jonathan Stein

I have been a customer of Doug's Blue Star Sedans for about 20 years, and always enjoyed his limo service and our wide-ranging conversations. Typically, I would see Doug about once a month and last saw him on May 10th. I was stunned to learn that he passed away when I tried to contact him last week. Doug had a very kind and gentle spirit, and he will be sorely missed.

I knew Doug for almost 20 years, driving me to and from the airport for work and vacation trips. I just saw him a month ago and was so shocked to hear about his death. He was a truly kind, caring, and thoughtful individual. I so appreciated his good humor and stories about his life. I hope his dog, Stella, has found a loving owner, as I know Doug loved his dog very much. He will be very missed!

We were shocked to learn about Doug's untimely death. We had written him a note last week from Venice, Italy, to confirm his pickup for our return to Dulles Airport on June 9. We hadn't heard from him. Then, while at the Venice airport, we received an email from our neighbors, also customers of Doug, letting us know about Doug's untimely passing. We will miss Doug's courtesy, timeliness, and genuineness. He was one of the good ones, gone much too soon.

Doug drove me to and from airports and train stations for 20 years. He once drove me to Philadelphia because he happened to be going that way. He was unfailingly pleasant and 100% reliable. I think that was because he regarded his customers as his friends. Whenever I came back to town, he would catch me up on all of the sports that I had missed. I will miss him.

Seeing Doug at the airport after a trip, long or short, always brought a smile. Doug was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He love his work, and he loved his clients. He brought care and attention to everything he did. I will miss our discussions about the phases of the moon, politics, California and so many, many more topics. I will miss him; he is part of every memory of every trip.

Doug was a good friend. He had a super sense of humor and a contagious laugh. I enjoyed his company. We shared a love of animals, and walked our dogs together. I lived in the Washington, DC area for a few years where we became friends. He visited me in Minnesota after I moved there, where he reunited with many of his friends who work at the Temple of ECK. While I lived in the DC area we shared many wonderful conversations and had some memorable laughs. I know you're out there, my brother Doug. I send you love in The Spirit of God and thank you for the blessings of your loving heart. You are missed.
