Edith B. Confehr  
Died November 6, 2015 in Columbia, TN. Born September 2, 1922, in Mars Hill, NC, Confehr was the daughter of Jack and Mary McCall Bennett of Miami Beach, FL, and the wife of Lt. Col. Wilmer D. Confehr who retired as an accountant for the U.S. Information Agency in Washington, DC, and died in 2002. The Confehr home of 56 years was on Parkwood Drive in Bethesda, MD. She grew up in Teaneck, NJ, graduated from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL in 1945, was an Alpha Xi Delta Sorority member, and married in 1948. She is survived by two sons, Clinton B. (Susan) Confehr of Columbia, TN and Peter A. (Jeanne) Confehr of Scottsdale, AZ; and three granddaughters, Lisa Confehr, Seattle, WA, Christine (Ryan) Anderson, New York City, NY and Catherine Confehr, Scottsdale, AZ. Graveside services for Edith Bennett Confehr, will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 9, in Arlington National Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be at 3 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, MD. The Rev. Linda Olson Peebles of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, Va., officiates at the grave. The Rev. Michelle Collins of CLUUC officiates at the celebration of life.
