GONZALEZ

EDWARD GONZALEZ

Attorney and local musician, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, after a long illness, in Herndon, Virginia. He was 68. Edward was a fan of and played a variety of "roots" music including blues, folk, country, rock, and Latin music in local bands. He was well-known as the "guitarron" (bass) player for Mariachi Los Amigos of Washington, DC. As an attorney he specialized in tax and bankruptcy law. Over 23 years in private practice he helped hundreds save their homes from foreclosure, reorganized failing businesses, and obtained a "fresh start" discharging debt for individuals. He was active in civic affairs serving as an officer and board member of his condo association, arts organizations, and political groups. He is survived by his wife, Kelli, three siblings, and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service.
