I remember Ed as being a devoted Democrat. Well we lost another presidential election. My mind was spending but you know what God knows best and He is still watching us all. Only He can turn Ashes Into Beauty and I think He is working on this. Thanks for being you and your spirit is still alive in my heart. Rest on my brother we will meet again in Zion. TJ

Well Ed its been another year. I am getting older and still hitting that 9 to 5. I feel wonderful. I still miss our talks and laughs. Don't see many people from ONDCP anymore but they are still in my prayers. Hoping the best for Kathy, your kids, and your family. Rest My Friend until the Heavenly Father brings us together again.

Another year without my friend and mentor. I think about him often when I need advice and guidance. From time to time I see him in my dreams. He was one of the good ones. He would be pleased with what I have accomplished in my Federal Government Career. I owe a lot of teachings to him. Ed I finally got it right and I am still hitting the 9 to 5. To Kathy, Ted, and William and their families his gracious heart will always be with you.

Wow, Ed I know your spirit is resting. But you would be happy to know that Joe Biden has taken the Presidency. Thank God you weren't here to live thru these last four years. I still miss talking with you and getting your advice. I think about you often. Keep the light on for all of your family and friends.

Wow. This is incredible. I was just talking about him last night with my husband. The past 6 years has left a whole in my heart. I think about him often but I know that God has his spirit all wrapped up waiting for the final day when we will all meet again in Zion. What an incredible man that lived on this earth. One word I would use to describe my long lost friend is JUST. For his heart was better than this world. He cared about All People. I don't think I will ever forget him. His memory will live on in my heart and mind. My heart goes out to Kathy, Ted, and William. You were blessed to have this wonderful human being as a part of your lives. Keep sleeping my brother until we are called to met before our King.

We had the pleasure to work closely with Ed in the anti-doping movement particularly through our joint representation of the Americas region at the World Anti-Doping Agency. He was a trusted and valued colleague who could be counted on for wise and frank discussion of key issues and clearly stating the views of the ONDCP. His professionalism, insight, and sense of humour will be missed. We are deeply sorry for your loss.

I worked with Ed at Lyon & Erlbaum ages ago. We spoke not that often. I will never forget one St Patty's day where Ed took me to his favorite Pub.

I am so sorry for your loss

My love & prayers to Kathy and the family. Although it has been many years since I last saw Ed, I have wonderful memories of time spent with him & Kathy.

Dear Rob and Family - We first met Ed in the summer of 1982, while we stayed with you on vacation - you were just friends. Then friendship grew into love, marriage and family.

So sorry to hear about Ed's passing - Pam told us today - 11/17/13 - I need to get my parents a list of their children names, so they can check off each name when they tell their child the information. Thinking of and praying for your family. Love Patti and Bob Baechtold

Dear Robin, Teddy, and William know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Our hearts ache for you in your grief. On his many visits to Cincinnati Ed could be counted on to bring a smile to our faces and laughter in our hearts. May the many wonderful and loving memories that you have support you through this time of loss.

There times within our lives that we need to stop and reflect. Ed was a fine person, a leader and in may ways a friend during my career at ONDCP. He will be missed for his kindness and his fine perception for a better world. May GOD bless him and his family.

I first met Ed at the Office of National Drug Control Policy - his keen legal advice kept us all out of trouble and the Washington Post while we worked Plan Colombia. But Monnica and I really got to know Ed and Kathy through our sons attending St. Johns. Ed was very supportive of St. Johns and the Christian Brothers there. We will miss him and we offer our prayers and condolences to Kathy and the boys.

I will miss the ordinary moments we shared with Ed that we took for granted. One of my fondest memories of him was watching him engage in the comedy of walking his dog (she had a mind of her own).

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We pray that memories of his well lived life serve as a comfort for you during this difficult time.

The loss of Ed is a great loss to all of us, and he will be greatly missed by more than simply his family and friends. He brought a real grace to all of his interactions with his low-key and friendly manner. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

I had the opportunity and great luck to meet and work with Ed at ONDCP. Ed and I would have long conversations on politics, policy and our families. I remember his laugh and his broad smile, particularly when he would tell me, no you can't do that! ONDCP and I were blessed to have him among us. The world will be a little bit quieter without his distinctive laugh. He will be missed.

Robin, I mentioned to Eileen I was just thinking about Ed last week and how he was doing before she called me Saturday. Just started a new job couple months ago, don't quite have the latitude of coming and going as the old one had, otherwise I would be there. Maureen and I send our condolences and if you are in the area over the holidays, hopefully we can see you.

I also had the pleasure of working with Ed and the honor of naming him as a friend. Those of us who shared those pleasures over the years were rewarded with honesty to a fault, friendship with no boundaries, solid support when it was most needed, the truth even when it hurt, and above all else, the very model of honesty and integrity in a city and environment where those characteristics are sometimes, sadly, difficult to find. You could always be confident that standing next to Ed, you would find them in abundance.

My condolences to all who knew Mr. Jurith. May you draw close to the hearer of prayer during this difficult time. Psalm 65:2

I had the pleasure of being in the same agency as Ed for the last 16 years. He was a good man and kind. His strength came from his beliefs and he had the highest moral and ethical standards which he would never compromise. May God keep him near. I will remember him and his family in my prayers. He will be missed.

We fondly remember him as a BSA Troop 90 dad, along with his wife Kathy, who encouraged my son to join the BSA and was instrumental in his Eagle rank attainment which their sons did as well. He was also a soccer dad who introduced my daughter to youth soccer games. We remember him and his wonderful family fondly.

Edward, you will always live in our hearts and prayers.
