I met eleanor through the James Renwick Alliance in the late 1980's. She embraced a still very green gallerist and through her eyes and many from the Renwick Alliance and Friends of Fiber Art, she ignited my love of textiles, encouraging my curating, writing and teaching. I never tired speaking with her about art and her gardens. She and Sam were very special in supporting what has become a 40 year career.

Bobby Glassman and I, were very good friends of your parents, Eleanor and I had many phone calls together and I came to visit her many times. She was an amazing and gracious woman. I will miss her a lot.
All my Deepest Sympathy to all of her family.
Love, Zita Rudolph ( Glassman)
