My DAD was an honorable man, a loving father to five kids and a loving husband of over 57 years. He touched the lives of many while working for the Boys and Girls Club in PG County, and was well known all over the community. I will never forget all the days he spent going to our sport events. He was at every event that we participated in, no matter what was going on in his busy life. My Dad always tried to come home for dinner so that he could be with his family. I remember all the days I got up early to have breakfast with my Dad when no one else seemed interested. Breakfast was the only meal he ever cooked and he was darn good at it! He also made a great tasting malt milkshake! Another fond memory was the many nights we played cards in Florida, which I will never forget. He won a lot of the times, too! He was quite the card shark! While we were growing up, my Dad worked 2-3 jobs so that we could go on nice vacations every summer, and never want for anything. He loved my Mom dearly! In fact, during one of his last days, he asked my sister to make sure she got something for my Mom for Christmas. This holds a special place in my heart. My Dad was always a very strong person who fought until the very end to keep on living. He never once complained about pain until the very last days of his life. I get my strength for living from my Dad! I am so glad to have had such loving parents!
Dad, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE ~
Your loving daughter, YVONNE

My grandpa was someone that was fun to be around. He was always up for a good game of cards. I will always remember when I was little he would tell my granny that there was a mouse in the house he could hear it. He would pretend that he didn't know it was me watching him read the paper or writing letters at his desk. I loved spending time with grandpa he always had a great story to tell me about his life and I still didn't get to hear them all. He was a great man that will be missed by many. I love you grandpa and miss you.

In the short, few years I knew Eli I was fortunate to have share his company and friendship. From the stories he has shared with me of his life, raising his children and husband to Joanna along with his work with the youth in his years with the National Training Schools for Boys, Prince Georges Boys and Girls Club and coaching, It was easy to love and respect him and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends and me. He was a great man and anyone who has been fortunate to have had Eli touch his or her life – was as fortunate as I have been. God Bless Eli.
