Ellen Latterner Obituary

Ellen K. Latterner of Bethesda, MD passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, following a brief period of illness. She was the beloved wife of Peter F. Latterner; sister of Won Everett (William) and Grace Quillen (RJ); aunt to Bryan Everett (dec.), Jeffrey Everett, William K. Everett and Nicholas Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Key P. Yang.

Ellen was born in Seoul, South Korea on March 15, 1948. She emigrated to the United States with her mother and sisters to Washington, DC where her father had come before them. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a major in microbiology, and was a microbiologist for the Food & Drug Administration. Later, she was a certified medical technician for an oncologist. She married Peter Latterner in 1990 and they resided in Bethesda, MD.

Ellen was dearly loved by her family and friends. Her quick smile and kind words touched everyone she knew. She was of strong faith and was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church. She will be so greatly missed by us all. Funeral services will be held at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Bethesda, MD on February 17, 2024 at 11 a.m.
