Ellen Wyvill Shea

Ellen Wyvill Shea of Bethesda, Maryland, passed away on the evening of November 23, 2025, at the age of 94. Born October 2, 1931, in Washington, DC, to the late Anthony Wyvill and Mildred Duckett Wyvill, Ellen was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Michael Shea; her daughter-in-law, Meredith Louise Shea; her grandson, Nathaniel Edward Shea; and her companion, Richard Moulton Wood, Jr.
A memorial service will be held for Ellen on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Saint Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, 727 5th St. NW, Washington, DC. The viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. and immediately followed by a celebratory Catholic Mass. The burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill, Maryland, at 2 p.m.
