POSTELL
In Loving Memory of

DEACON ERNEST POSTELL, JR. (ERNIE)

October 18, 1955 - April 16, 2006

"We Miss You"

Come With Me

The Lord saw you getting tired

and a cure was not to be,

So He put his arms around you and whispered,

"Come with me."

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer

and saw you fade away,

Although we loved you dearly,

we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

a beautiful smile at rest,

God broke our hearts to prove

He only takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you,

we miss you so each day,

Our lives aren't the same since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,

and everything goes wrong,

We seem to hear you whisper,

"cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,

you seem to smile and say,

"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,

we'll meet again someday."

"Honey, I sure do miss you"

"Dad, we love and miss you"

Your Wife, Laura, and Sons, Corey and Ernest (Rocky) and the rest of the family, too

It is hard to believe it has been over a year since Ernie's passing; but I know the Lord is taking good care of him. And that they both are looking down on you, Rocky and Corey. Continued Blessings to you!

Laura, I know you miss Ernie and words will never express how much. I miss him also. My sisters and I have always admired the love you, Ernie and the boys exemplied. So, I believe this is very difficult for you and the children. I'm here and will keep in touch with you.

Dear Laura and Boys,
I did not have the opportunity of knowing Ernie, but from the memories expressed here today, and your poem to him, he was loved and is very much missed. I pray your memories and your faith in God will sustain you. Along with the support of family and friends, these are the things that have gotten me through the difficult times since my husband's death twelve and a half years ago. Love to you and the family.

God Bless

Ernie's wonderful giving spirit, jubilant smile, and lovely disposition will always be with us in spirit. He was a jewel of a person and we're so glad we got to know and love our dear Ernie. We will always remember his faith analogy of the "mustard seed" as expounded on in scripture.

Ms. Laura, thank you for the opportunity to express our condolences. I wished I had know so that I could have been there for and with you. I miss Ernie also. His presence will not be easily forgotten. He was big in character and honor. Love to you and the family.

Laura,

What a beautiful poem and dedication to Ernie's memory. Did you write the poem yourself or with the boys? In any event, it read so appropriate. Ernie would be proud and knew he was loved. Continued blessings! Love you much...

Laura, We were blessed to have known such a wonderful person. The Lord truly had his hand on Ernie from way back during our days at the "Way". Ernie was a wonderful god-father to my granddaughter. We all loved him and miss his beautiful voice. Singing with him on the Pastor's Choir was a wonderful experience. Laura you and the boys are in our prayers. God Bless .

I miss my counsin's hearty laughter whenever I talked to him. I missed his great smile and that wonderful song he sang, "God has Smiled on Me." He is truly missed, but left a great legacy. He was such a sweet person.

Peace and blessings,

I was shocked and saddened after hearing the report that this great brother and friend had passed away. He was my first real estate agent, and was truly responsible for getting me in my first home, which led to others. He and I were both Police Officers, which made our bond stronger, and I even though we were seperated by only a few years, I saw him as a mentor. We have lost a great one, but the Most High has brought a great one home. May the Most High God keep his family and bless them all the days of their lives.

Shalom (peace)
