Mr. Wolfe taught me how to love and play music for 6 years at Woodward High for 6 years. I was going I´d fail my senior year so I could stay one more year, but I didn´t. I always held him in high esteem- he was wonderful as a musician, a teacher, and a friend.

My sincerest condolences to Mr. Wolfle´s family. I just learned of his passing in 2020. I was a member of the Woodward High School band for my entire time as a student there. Mr. Wolfle was the director for 4 of those years. He was strict but fair and he knew how to get the best performance from everyone. I also found him to be approachable and understanding. I have many fond memories of being in the band under his baton.

I was in the band during Mr. Wolfle's time at Woodward High School. He was one of the finest teachers I ever met. He was strict yet approachable.
May he rest in peace. His students will never forget him.

I had the great pleasure to be in Mr. Wolfle's band at Woodward High School in Cincinnati. He was not only a wonderful director but also a great man and a role model. Every time I watch Mr. Holland's Opus I do not see Richard Dreyfuss - I see Ernest Wolfle. You have touched so many lives. Thank you!

A true gentleman, humble and proud patriot. At one time I invited him to a performance by a Montgomery Village Band at Watkins Mill High school.
That’s how I got to learn about Earnie’s achievement and life long love of music. I am happy he enjoyed playing tennis with me.
