BRILEY, ETHEL STEPHENSON

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at age 90. A resident of Alexandria, VA, since 1968. Beloved wife of the late Frank E. Briley, Ed.D. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Whitehouse and husband, Theodore of Bethesda, MD, and Betsy Pavlovich of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Wendy and William Pavlovich, Stephanie Katrina Russell, James, Michael and Caroline Whitehouse; two sisters, Lola Delbridge and husband, Dr. Matt Delbridge of Goldsboro, NC and Catherine Painter and husband, Rev. Jack Painter of Raleigh, NC; eight neices and six nephews. Services will be held in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603 on Wednesday, November 16, at 3 p.m. Visitation, 2 to 3 p.m. Contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Briley to the American Heart Association, Alexandria Chapter, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058; the American Cancer Society, for which she frequently collected donations, 124 Park St., S.E., PO Box 699, Vienna, VA 22180 or to First Christian Church of Alexandria, 2723 King St., Alexandria, VA 22302-4007.
