Eugene Downs Obituary
On Monday, March 24, 2003, at Montgomery General Hospital, Olney, MD. Survived by his devoted wife Ruby Haney; two loving daughters, Anne Melzer of Chester, SC and Lauren Purcell of Frederick, MD; a sister, Elaine Sheehan of Silver Spring, MD, and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends today, March 27, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at MADDOX FUNERAL HOME, 105 West Main St., Front Royal, VA. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal. Memorial contributions may be made to the University Baptist Church, 3515 Campus Dr., College Park, MD 20740.

I and my Uncles,Bobby and Doyle Cline, grew up with Eugene Downs -PeeWee-and his family. We loved the way he played the drums. I'm sure the family will miss him a lot.
