Eugene Carmen Renzi

RENZI EUGENE CARMEN RENZI (Age 74) Major General US Army (Ret.) Died on February 9, 2008, at home surrounded by his beloved family. General Renzi was born in East Boston, MA. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Captain in 1970 and a Major in 1972, where he received multiple honors. Following his retirement from the US Army he became the Senior Executive Vice President for Mantech International in 1993. In 1996 he became the President of Mantech Telecommunications and Information Systems Corporation. His wife Faye Marie Renzi predeceased Gene in 1986. He is survived by five children, US Congressman Richard G. Renzi and his wife Roberta of Arizona, Robert L. Renzi and his wife Tina of Flushing, New York, Ronald P. Renzi and his wife Darci of Leesburg, VA, Regina M. James and her husband Roger of Ashburn, VA, and Ralph D. Renzi and his wife Vanessa of Springfield, VA; two brothers, Phillip Renzi of Florida and Richard Renzi of Pennsylvania; his long time devoted friend Stephanie Gaskill; 23 Grandchildren, Ronald, Robert, Richard, Rochelle, Regina, Rachel, Robert J., Ryan, Ross, Danielle, Anthony, Rory, Brock, Richard C., Phillip, Rianna, Royce, Reginamarie, Riley, Ralphy, Carmen, Giavanna, and Antonia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 20, 2008 from 3 to 8 p.m. with special tributes and the Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Demaine Funeral Home, Backlick Rd., Springfield, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael‘s Catholic Church, 7401 St. Michael‘s Lane, Annandale, VA 22003. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery with Full Military Honors immediately following the Mass.
