Ewing Tavel Obituary
On Friday, July 15, 2005, EWING HOWS TAVEL of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Jean W. Tavel; father of the late James W. Tavel; father-in-law of Ruth Tavel; grandfather of James C. Tavel; brother of Elizabeth, Paul, Gary and the late William and Robert Tavel; brother-in-law of Leta Wilson, Barbara and Ruby Tavel and of the late Joseph D. Wilson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Wednesday, July 20, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area, 11240 Waples Mill Rd. #402, Fairfax, VA 22030 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Maryland Chapter, 8600 LaSalle Rd. #314, Baltimore, MD 21286. Greatest symphaties to Mrs. Tavel and her family. I still remember with great warmth the kindness that Mr. and Mrs. Tavel showed me as a young child going up in the house beside them.
