Dear Ken and Kenisha,
My sincere condolences for your loss. Fe was an incredible and unique individual who contributed mightily to the world. She represents like many of us of that era a successful role model from the first large Latino recruitment and social inclusive effort at Columbia. We, her friends, will miss her joy and exuberance for life.

Dear Kenny and Kenisha,
Sometimes others can say it better. I share this thought with you:
"Walking by the sea, I pick up a starfish that is missing an arm. Losing you has been like that, like a limb actually was torn from my body. As I gently place it back on the sand, I notice that despite the cruel amputation, a marvelous and beautiful creature has survived. And I remember the miracle of the starfish: the arm will grow back, and it will be whole once again."

Dear Ken:

I had the pleasure of meeting Fe when I was a freshman at Columbia College in 1973 and she was a freshman at Barnard. We shared many friends and both graduated from college in 3 years. Although we lost track of one another, I ran into Fe at a business conference in NY several years ago. She still had her warm smile and it was great to see her. I have shared the sad news of her passing with many of our classmates from Columbia/Barnard. I extend my sincere condolences to you and your family at this time of loss and reflection.

Sincerely,

Richard Davis

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you on the loss of your beautiful Wife and Mother. Fe had such a bright light about her that was only matched by her warm smile. I was always impressed with her focused commitment to whatever she was involved with at the time. In spite of that focus she never lost track of her first priority, her family and her love for the both of you. Our thoughts are with you.
