Francis Yates Obituary
Bob is survived by his children, Francis Robert Yates, Jr. (Agnes), Mitzi Yates Lizarraga (Rafael), Kim Johnson (Anthony,deceased), Kelli Yates (Ulysses), Jacy Yates, Trina Brown (Philip), Eric Mathis and Otis Cortier Ware; his devoted companion Fern Underdue; 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, eight bonus grandchildren and 16 bonus great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Thursday, December 12 at Nativity Catholic Church, 6001 13th Street NW, Washington, DC 20011. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. followed by the Interment at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.

I have always treasured the moments I was fortunate to share with you and your wonderful parents, Mr. and Mrs. Yates. When I first met you, their warmth shone through you Jacy, which is why I felt drawn to invite myself over! Being with you and Mitzi so closely over the years, I can sincerely say that you made your parents-and especially your father-immensely proud. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Yates. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
