I'm reading all these messages and know you were loved by many, but not as much as I love you. I miss your smile, our talks, your love, your positive attitude, going to the beach together and coming home to you every day. My life will never be the same without you in it. Love and Miss You Baby!!

Frank, You started handling my mother, Virginia Dean insurance many years ago. You always had great things to say about my mother who had passed away 6 years ago. We both have been going through some medical problems but every time we talked you would remind me that we were survivors. I feel that we have established a great friendship through the years. To your family we send our regrets but thank them for sharing you with us. Your friend forever Wendell and Mary Dean.

Frankie! Why did you have to leave so soon? I will always remember our times in Ocean City together and our weekends out with you and Ellen, our only friends :(. You know no one will be buying me donuts like you did Frank. I will miss you Frank and I hope you are up there dancing every night!

Frank was one of my brother Lamarr Jackson's first friends when we moved into Silver Spring many years ago and we attended Sligo Jr. High School, then Northwood High. Lamarr was not an outgoing or popular person before then, but Frank helped him to learn the ropes rather quickly. They were close then and remained close throughout the years. A kinship evolved and they became brothers from then on and Frank became part of our family. It is very sad to know that Frank is not with us anymore, but he will not be forgotten.

Growing up across the street from the Valeda's has given me lifelong friends and fond memories, too many to count. Frank, was always so good to me. Like a great older brother, driving us kids to Ocean City for the day; Making sure my brother and I were part of sending the family and our dear friends Ray & Ditas off to the Philippines @ Dullus; including me in all those fabulous Motown dance parties (when I was probably too young to be there), solidifying my love of the music. Always with a hug and that beautiful smile. I just know he's got the record player cranked up right now and is dancing! In the words of those great philosophers, The Temptations, Frank - "I know you want to leave me, but I refuse to let you go”! My thoughts & prayers are with my Valeda family and Frank's children & loved ones. Thanks, Frank!

When I think back to my favorite era of my life, I can't have a memory that doesn't include Frank Valeda! Or Frank and Gil, or Frank and Kay :-) My memories of Frank include so many things! Fun, endless joking around, halloween parties, lazy get togethers on sundays after late nights on saturdays, disco dancing, laughter, smiles - so many smiles! Most of all I remember his enveloping warmth - his endless friendship to everyone. If you had a problem, Frank was there with an ear to listen and offer advice. I NEVER knew of anyone that met Frank that didn't consider him a friend. I so loved that era of my life and I cherish that time spent with Frank as my friend! I was so happy to be able to spend a little time with him last October at SGP. My thoughts and prayers go out to Frank's children whom he adored, Ellen, Gil, Kay - all of Frank's family and all that were close to him! R.I.P. Frank!!

To Frank's family and friends...although I knew Frank in his role as my insurance agent, it was clear he was a caring and courageous person. When my soon-to-graduate- college son was thinking about a career in insurance, Frank graciously met with him for lunch to share his insights. I could always count on Frank to look after my best interests and I'm sure that extended to the ones he held most dear. No words can ease the sorrow but may loving memories surround you all.

I have known Frank and Gil since 7th grade;it seems like yesterday we were all on Kinross street, laughing and having fun. Frank was always kind to me and always listened. Im am grateful we had the parties we did at the Knights of Columbus to have seen him and Ellen. I love my Northwood friends very much and it is truly a sad day for us to lose one of our own. I know we will all be together again someday but until then you will be greatly missed.

Frank will be missed by everyone he knew, especially the staff of V. W. Brown
Insurance. He was a wonderful person and a delight to be around. He endured a lot of hardships in his life but always met them head on with an upbeat attitude. Rest in peace my friend.

As I think of Frank, I found these words from Thomas Jefferson- “But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine.” Even though we talked of his illness, in my conversations and visits we shared, I always saw and heard his smile and laughter. Lord knows Frank loved to talk and I was happy to listen. I will miss him and will think fondly of him for “A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart.” ~Attributed to Heather Pryor. Frank certainly touched my heart! as it struggles now with shade and sunshine. Nancy Watkins
