Frank Bachner Obituary


 
FRANK JOSEPH BACHNER (Age 82)  
Of Lake of the Woods, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at UVA Hospital in Charlottesville. Mr. Bachner and his family moved to the Northern Virginia area in 1967 from Pittsburgh, PA. He worked as a Manager for AT&T for over 30 years. Upon retiring in 1984, Mr. and Mrs. Bachner moved to Whispering Pines, NC and spent 10 years there before moving to Lake of the Woods, where they have lived the past 15 years. Mr. and Mrs. Bachner are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeannine Bachner; his children Kimberly Culotta and her husband Jack of Annandale, and Lori Bachner Carey and her companion Phil DuBois of Springfield; and grandchildren Reagan Jeanne Carey and Connor Joseph Carey. Mr. Bachner's family also includes two brothers-in-law and their wives, Norman and Bunny Steigerwald, and Don and Joan Steigerwald; nieces and nephews; step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; as well as an "adopted" son Gerry O'Toole. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 5120 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Funds or TCV Education Fund, UVA Hospital-Attention Marcy White; P.O.
