Frank Emile Nothaft April 10, 1956 – June 5, 2022
Dr. Frank Nothaft, passed away from a suspected heart arrhythmia, on Sunday, June 5,2022 while running a 5K race to benefit Ukraine. Nothaft was a nationally recognized expert in real estate finance and Chief Economist at CoreLogic. Previously he was Chief Economist at Freddie Mac and an economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank.
Frank is survived by Lisa Greenfield, his wife of 41 years. Dr. Frank Austin Nothaft and his wife Dr. Iris Warchall, and his granddaughter Rosalind Nothaft (Piedmont, CA), Dr. Daniel Nothaft, (Philadelphia, PA), John Nothaft, MM (McLean, VA), his father, Frank Emil Nothaft (Rita pre-deceased) Pompton Plains, NJ, his sister, Rita Fordiani (Alfred) (Sudbury, MA) and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church, 1724 Chain Bridge Road, McLean, VA 22101 on June 25, at 2 p.m. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.lewinsville.org/funerals-memorial-services/.

I moved out of the area and just came back to visit a couple of weeks ago and found out Frank had passed away. He was my boss when I worked with him at CoreLogic years ago. He was an amazing human being and will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathies to Frank's family. I am a member of the National Association of Business Economics (NABE). I would regularly talk to Frank during business conferences and served with Frank on committees that did planning for those conferences. Frank was always gracious with his time and was able to explain a complicated subject, such as housing economics, in a down-lucid and down-to-earth manner. He was a great resource for those who wanted to understand the latest developments in the housing sphere. He will be greatly missed.
