FRED G. MATHIS (Age 70)
Peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017. Loving father of Fred G. Mathis, Jr. of Sumter, SC, Penny Mathis of Myrtle Beach, SC and Erica Hammond of Dover, DE; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Veronica Mathis; parents, Otis and Rebie Golatt and sister, Mary Hansford. Services will be held at the Freeman's Celebration Center, 7201 Old Alexandria Ferry Rd., Clinton, MD on Monday, December 4, visitation, 10 a.m.; service, 11 a.m. Interment Washington National Cemetery.

My loving dad you will be greatly missed, I never thought this day would come where I would be saying goodbye and it was harder than I could ever imagine. I remained strong like you taught me. Erica Fred and I will continue to be strong together and remember you for being the great dad that you are. Rest in paradise my frog I love you so Much and will Miss you more

I was so sorry to read about Fred passing. He was such a wonderful and caring person and will truly be missed by all of his former co-workers at Giant Food.
