FREDERIC McCANN
On January 14, 2013, of Rockville, MD. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Louise (Cotter) McCann; brothers, Charles, John and Paul; sister, Rose Gilbert, and son, Charles. Survived by eight children - Patrick, Bernard, Andrew, Matthew, Mary, Rosemary, Janet and Frederic, and numerous grand- (and great grand-) children. Fred was a loving father, a Brown University graduate, a WWII Veteran (U. S. Army), a Cold War-rior / career Intelligence officer, an early proponent of improving race relations through Integration, a proud Catholic son of Ireland, an avid golfer, and quite literally, a clown ("Golfie"). He was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Rockville. He will be remembered for his friendly smile, joking nature and charitable way. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockville, MD on Sat., Feb. 2, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Burial at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton, Massachusetts.
